Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush Bay.

Home of the 2000 Sydney Olympic games. Over 100 Cloudmaster units (2000 stations) installed at 47 remote locations scattered throughout the Olympic and Bicentennial Park complexes. All linked back to a central PC via a dedicated radio repeater on top of the Novotel. Some sites were originally linked using optical fibre. Hand-held radio remote-control unit used for maintenance.

Sydney Cricket Ground.

80 station irrigation system comprising 4 Cloudmaster units scattered throughout the complex. All linked back to a central PC via the onsite local area network (Ethernet LAN).

Royal Botanic Gardens and The Domain, Sydney

Around 300 station irrigation system comprising 15 Cloudmaster units scattered throughout the complex. All linked back to a central PC via radio. Some of the units were supplied in purpose designed and built freestanding stainless steel pedestals.

University of NSW, Sydney

Around 240 station irrigation system comprising 14 Cloudmaster units scattered throughout the Kensington and more remote campuses. All linked back to a central PC via the universities local area network (LAN) infrastructure.

Bankstown City Council

Cloudmaster units installed at 52 remote playing fields that are linked via dedicated radio channel to a PC in Parks and Gardens office for control of irrigation, floodlighting and hot water systems. Most sites fitted with water flow meters and keytag floodlight facility, which is used by approximately 60 sporting clubs in the area. Hand-held radio remote-control unit used for maintenance. SMS control and alarm messages routed via central PC to remote site.

Campbelltown City Council

Cloudmaster units installed at 18 parks and ovals all of which are linked back to central PC via a combination of telephone land lines and GSM cellular for control of irrigation, floodlighting and hot water systems. Most sites fitted with sporting club activated floodlight facility, water flow meters and some with soil moisture sensors. Around 42 sporting clubs have been issued with keytags and/or PIN numbers. Hand-held radio remote-control unit used for site maintenance.

Hawkesbury City Council

Cloudmaster units installed at 15 ovals and linked via radios on existing council frequency. Sporting club activated floodlighting at all sites. Sports association, parks & gardens manager and accounts department all dial in to the central PC to perform keytag set up, oval irrigation and club billing respectively. Hand-held remote-control unit used for maintenance. PC also reads weather variables direct from a weather station.

Holroyd Council

15 remote parks and playing fields scattered throughout the municipality and a weather station. Central PC control (via cellular GSM) of irrigation and automatic billing of sporting club activated floodlighting. Sporting clubs and council staff use SMS from their mobile phones to control floodlighting and provide remote control and alarm condition notification functionality.

Leichhardt Council

7 remote parks and playing fields scattered throughout the municipality. Central PC control (via cellular GSM) of irrigation and automatic billing of sporting club activated floodlighting. Sporting clubs and council staff use SMS from their mobile phones to control floodlighting and provide remote control and alarm condition notification functionality.

Ku-ring-gai Council

20 remote parks and playing fields scattered throughout the municipality. Central PC control (via cellular GSM) of irrigation and automatic billing of sporting club activated floodlighting. Sporting clubs and council staff use SMS from their mobile phones to control floodlighting and provide remote control and alarm condition notification functionality.

Liverpool City Council

18 remote parks and playing fields scattered throughout the municipality. Central PC control (via cellular GSM) of irrigation and automatic billing of sporting club activated floodlighting. Sporting clubs and council staff use SMS from their mobile phones to control floodlighting and provide remote control and alarm condition notification functionality.

Hyatt Regency Coolum

A total of 12 Cloudmaster units scattered throughout the complex configured as a single 240 station control system centrally controlled from a PC. Hand-held radio remote-control unit is used for sprinkler head maintenance and station manual override. Flow meters monitor and report water usage.

Belconnen Golf Course

160 station irrigation system controlled from PC in superintendent’s office. Hand-held radio used for station override and maintenance.
